Greek Kulture Feeds Hungry Children In Africa
In March 2014, Greek Kulture (GK), made a cash donation to Sankofa International, Inc. (Sankofa), a non-profit organization registered in Washington, D.C., to help support Sankofa programs. Sankofa’s mission, in short, is to help Africa’s needy become self-sustaining and has been doing so since 1993.
On April 26, 2014, Mr. Richard Willis, Sankofa President and CEO, made a donation to the Royal Seed Home, an orphanage in the Central Region of Ghana – West Africa, on behalf of GK. The Royal Seed Home provides shelter, food, school, church, etc., for approximately 250 children, ranging from infant to early adulthood.
The donation included rice, beans, corn, sugar, milk, cooking oil, toothpaste, soap, toilet paper, insect repellent, cash, and more. Cash is needed for medical treatment and emergency transportation.
The children thanked God, GK, and Sankofa for the heart-felt t donation. And then, they prepared and enjoyed a delicious meal.
