Wristband For A Cause Donation September 2014

In September 2014, Greek Kulture (GK), made a donation to Sankofa International, Inc. (Sankofa) on behalf of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. (KAPPA), Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. (OMEGA), and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. (SIGMA). Sankofa’s mission, in short, is to help Africa’s needy, especially children, become self-sustaining. On Wednesday, October 8, 2014, Richard Willis, Sankofa President and CEO, made a donation, on behalf of KAPPA, OMEGA, and SIGMA to the Royal Seed Home, an orphanage in Accra Ghana-West Africa, which houses approximately 250 children, ranging from infancy to 21 years of age. The donation included, but was not limited to, rice, corn, beans, milk, sugar toilet paper, toothpaste, mosquito spray, and lots more. Cash was also donated to cover medical treatment and emergency transportation. With tears in their eyes, the children thanked God, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, and Phi Beta Sigma .
